A real-time strategy game where you cleanse rather than kill.
The bar shows how work on the game is going: the stone cracks with every finished stage. Once the fundraiser starts, support will crack it too, and on the day the fundraiser reaches its goal the stone breaks and she walks free. Signing up for news does not move the bar. A crack never closes again. The fundraiser reached its goal, so the stone broke. From here on the bar shows how much of the world the Ether has left, and it moves with every further stage of work on the game. This page cleanses itself along with the game: the Ether retreats with every finished stage of work. Signing up for news does not move the bar. Once cleansed, a place never darkens again.

What you do
In the spirit of Populous: The Beginning.
Lead your people. Their faith is your power.
Light the lighthouses. Their light drives back the Ether.
Save, don't slay. The rescued join your side.
Who is making this game
I am making Praeteritus on my own. The game grows out of my novel of the same name: the world, the story and the direction are mine, and generative tools help me with the images, animation and sound.
The first playable version is already with testers, and I am now polishing the first mission.
If you would like to help, you can support the game's development monthly on Patreon or buy me a coffee once. It will go towards characters, animation, voices and music for the next missions. If support grows, one day I would love to make things crafted by human hands as well: character figurines and an artbook illustrated by artists. There is no obligation: the news and the game will be the same for everyone.
